Introducing NCE Soccer TopTekkers Leaderboard!
NCE players have embraced the TopTekkers online training platform and are showing some serious skills!
So, we thought, why don’t we introduce a bit of friendly competition as we are forced to stay at home – and introduce NCE leaderboards.
We want to bring the whole NCE Soccer family together and set certain tasks each week for you all to practice.
That why, you know you are doing the same drills as your teammates, perfecting the same skills and drills to make you a better player.
Scores of you have already taken to basements and backyards to compete for TopTekkers trophies – and we want to share your efforts online!
Each week NCE Soccer will set skills trophies for you to concentrate on – we want you to upload your videos to Instagram and Facebook.
We will then publish an NCE Soccer leaderboard so you can compete with fellow NCE Soccer Students.
To start the program we are going to focus on two challenges – feet only juggling and thigh only juggling!
The World record for keepie-ups is held by Dan Magness of England, a 25-year-old professional freestyler, who kept a regulation football aloft for 26 hours! He did use his feet, legs, shoulders and head as he set the record in Hong Kong in June 2010!
NCE Soccer coach John Curtis kicks off the first challenge with an example of ‘Feet Only Juggling’ or ‘Keepie-Ups’ as we know them.
This is a skill which, when perfected, can be performed anyway as it demonstrates close control of the ball.
Top of the class for feet only juggling was Jake Dapice from NY who recorded and incredible score of 1133 juggles!
Well done Jake, lets see how long you occupy the top spot on the leaderboard for this skill.
